Margaret Sanford is a Philadelphia-based historian, currently working towards her Masters in Public History at Temple University. Her interest in memorial landscapes and difficult history has taken her from Ground Zero in Manhattan to mass graves in Rwanda. Her work is informed by a deep passion for community and transitional justice.

Her professional experience in museums includes: Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, the National Liberty Museum, the Penn Museum, the National September 11 Memorial Museum, and the Rubin Museum of Art.
